Post by ozover50 »

I see Fender has released a range of Eric Clapton 'signature' amps.

Sheesh..... what next, a signature mic stand? :?

Apparently I have a signature amp too............
Medway Amp.png
Featuring a professional Celestion speaker, premium pre-tested tubes and astonishing audio quality, the Medway Special is an impressive tube amplifier designed to give you a true rock ‘n’ roll tone.

The Medway Special 1GN has 18 watts RMS of tube power and features the G12M 12" Celestion speaker which gives this amplifier its powerful, wide sound and mid-range punch for both the stage and studio.

By pushing the gain slightly, this amp can achieve the warm tube crunch that every player looks for but rarely finds. It also has a distinctive deep green tolex with a basket-weave style grille cloth that appeals to contemporary players and vintage enthusiasts.

The Medway Special tube amp has received Guitar World's July 2008 Gold Award for Overall Value.

18 Watts RMS
Preamp: 2 x 12AX7
Power Amp: 2 x EL84
1 x 12" Celestion G12M 25W Speaker
Accutronics Spring Reverb
Clean & Overdrive Channels
1/4" High and Low Inputs

5 watts MSRP's at almost $1400. The top of the line is $4100. I will keep my 40 watt Fender Hot Rod Deluxe I got used for $400.

Think of it though, an EC (Enrico Caruso) signature amp, that's got to be worth a lot of money, right?
