Eden.
Eden, I had read somewhere (here on the RRF IIRC) that the 4002 was used on "Losing It", but that would be interesting if "The Weapon" was the 4002......the p/ups on that bass have Jazz Bass-like spacing......

As I also said in my post above, it merely states my belief, that I am comfortable with stating my opinion and believe it to be accurate. Hey, I can't help it if I'm always right.. Cheers.!
I'm with you on that, Limelight is very Jazz tone. However, I've found a couple samples of board tracks that are only bass and it's obvious that there was a LOT of punching in. A LOT of tone changes thru a song. I think Geddy calls them 'zingers.' Anyway, it's no stretch to conclude that different basses could be used on the same track, and with the amount of takes and work that goes into an album, nobody may know exactly which takes are which.

In other words - we'll never know. I'm just glad I'm happy with MY tone.

You anoraks always kill me. I couldn't tell you what instruments I used on most of my own work, which is in a more recent time frame and probably a much clearer head! Hmmm.. is there a RushGear Cavern forum?

Ha ha! Right on!

I also read that it was Losing It that he may have used the 4002 on.

No, he's jamming along with the outro from the Red Barchetta solo section.

And I also read somewhere...that Geddy used the 4002 on parts of Hemispheres.

I think that is the only shot of Geddy and his 4002.
