I whipped out this Johnny Cash cover in the course of the last 24 hours to submit it for a cover song contest hype thing in the UK. (I just got the notice yesterday, the basteges.) I wouldn't have bothered, but the prize is $1500 USD, so I figured - what the F. I'll try it.

The contest is for the best versions of three cover songs; contestants are only allowed to submit one of the following - The Beach Boys - 'California Girls', Bonnie Tyler - 'Holding Out For A Hero, or Cash's Folsom Prison Blues. As much as I loves me some Brian Wilson, Cash's tune seemed like the no-brainer for me.
