yes they are!!First issue box back grovers. Used till mid year 1972.Looks like a nice set! :D

A larger pic...not sure if those ferrules look correct..hmmm..I have to decide this morning

*edit* - just remembered he said they were on a Gibson bass...makes sense but, I wish I had the ferrules...to be forward my plan is to resell

...I suspect the flat Grovers on the Gibsons could've been identical to the ones on late '60ies Ricks? :roll:

Dunno like any odd mod I think someone just thought it'd be cool to have them on their Gibson

The sharper photo shows things I could not see well in the first version; all looks good to me, even the ferrules, Marc. 8)

If they are 1 1/8 from the base to the shaft end then they're Ric, if they are 1 1/4 then they're probably Gibson.

oh boy, I just sold these on Ebay. They went down under too...hope they are Ric :oops:

Maybe these pics will shed more light although it's impossible to measure using them. Shame as I know the buyer is in fact using them to restore an old Ric
