Steppenwolf using 2 Ric's in this song

Post by idealassets »

Who knew? Here's a clip of Steppenwolf playing on a Ric bass and lead guitar. I was taken by surprise when I noticed it. Can anyone identify what models they are playing?

This song was recorded with an Esquire - guess that old Combo was the closest thing the folks at Electro-String had to one at the time?

I might be being overly sensitive or nostalgic, but I'd hardly call Born to be Wild "this song."

Born to be Wild is once of the most famous and one of the greatest rock songs of all time.

It would be like saying look at the smile "in this painting."
