HB-1 in the 4003 pickup surround.

Post by sloop_john_b »

Before I go disassembling the 4003 treble pickup surround to put in my HB-1, what do I need to know? How does it mount?

You will need two screws, washers and nuts (preferably, stainless steel) in the appropriate size to mount the pickup to the holes provided in the mounting plate. I have not mounted an HB-1 but a toaster, although the procedure is the same. I don't recall exactly, but you may have to cut a wire from the hi-gain pickup, as it passes through a hole in the plate. Short standoffs might be a good idea to keep from mashing (a technical term) the bottom of the HB-1 into the mounting plate.
