My bass "audition"

Post by nukebass »

I don't know how many of you have heard about the Queen Extravaganza thing (http://www.queenextravaganza.com), but here is my audition for it, using my 4001. I originally used my 4004, but got a little paranoid about it buzzing too much (I don't think it was) and redid it with this one and I think it turned out a little bit better. My wife liked this one better, anyway, so it is the one that got posted.

Great stuff! I wish I'd done that song. :P I sent a video too. Not real happy with the groove, but it's OK. The 4001CS is pretty nice though! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD3SI1-uUrU

That was a great cut! I was hoping to do Seaven Seas of Rhye, but I couldn't really figure out the guitar solo part, so I went with Somebody to Love. Nice tone on that CS, too.

My friend Richie made it to the 2nd round, for the guitar position. Go vote for him!

Some guy from my area made it to the second round on drums. I saw it on the news.

Hey, thanks Paul! I actually played 2 shows the day before, so I threw on my stage clothes from the night before. LOL! I was really jittery by the time I got the audio and lighting at least halfway usable. Ugh... So bummed I didn't play better. Been playing lousy pop covers for too long. Time to woodshed!

My friend's bro Gary Guzman made it to round 2 on guitar! He's a real talent.
