Post by JackAlan »

Today is a special day being 11-11-11 & more so as we say "thank you" to the Men & Women that have served us all in our great country USA. My thanks to you and your family's and for all our fallen hero's that have fallen in battle, service to our cause, or served and have now passed.

Words don't come close to thanks enough for the sacrifice you all have made to keep us great, free, & safe.

You have my up most respect & gratitude.

Well said Jack. My thanks and respect also go out to all service men and women who have fallen and also those who continue to be in harms way. I salute you.

I agree!

Thanks to all those who have served their countries and to those who are currently in the service!

And even though he won't see it, thanks to my nephew, Cameron who's with the U.S. Marines somewhere in Afghanistan - stay safe kid!

Just returned home from the National Cemetery a few hours ago.

Talk about a sobering experience. It is a new cemetery, 313 acres in size. My father-in-law was one of the first ones
buried there. Each time we go, we see new section after new section of headstones covering the hills.

Looking at all those headstones, well, nuff said. One headstone just a few away from
my father-in-law was a young fellow who died in 2008, at the ripe old age of 18.

Thanks for your service Mike. There are no words that can properly convey how thankful I am for all the service men and women who make it their duty to keep us all safe. For many of us, the significance of this day really hits home when we have friends and family who have served or continue to serve.
