I got mine in today, the first of the 5 green basses...serial number 40006 (the first 5 of the series are done in one of the other two colors actually).

I will open mine tomorrow as it was delivered via FedEx today and I'm giving it plenty of time to acclimate before I take a peek at it...

The special green is pretty cool,but looking at the web page,how can they state the horeshoe is "identical" to the 1931 design? In looks only,i suppose.....

Hardly. They work exactly the same way. The only difference is that the magnetic field is supplied by some embedded Alnico magnets instead of the horseshoes themselves, which always discharged over time anyway. It still has the all axis string vibration pick up ability that no other design has.

Ok the Warrenty card says 4001C64 SG, so SG must stand for special green as stated by Mr Hall, it should say GG for Gorgeous Green the color is truely beautiful, what gets me to thinking, who else beside me would love a 4003, 4004L or 4004Cii in this finish ? (HINT HINT HINT ) LOL
