I also noticed that POTR had the V63/C64 style tailpiece for sale as well. If I'm not mistaken I think PAG is thinking about selling his other CS which he had refinished in white.

Agree. I would sell body parts for a V63 version of one of these.
+1000 I've never liked the reverse headstock...
I've never liked the upside down headstock either, but after playing/hearing a few C64's, I think I could get used to it really fast if I had the spare cash to get one!

The white one looks stunning!!

I do recall John saying that RIC would never do white again as long as a certain part of his anatomy pointed to the ground. Either he's now walking on his hands or he's mellowing in his relative old age.

Congrats to POTR and all at RIC for getting their heads together and producing these..... a real breath of fresh air and great looking instruments! :D

No White Christmas for me I am afraid.
PickoftheRicks have one but the last bus to Pennsylvania just left Manchester!
No doubt one will show up (highly inflated) on the For Sale section.

I bought one of those tailpieces to add to the visual authenticity of my my new "4003 V67 MID". It's lifting at the rear 2mm and will require the two added screws at he rear that the early 7-screw tailpieces had.

This is the 4001CS in white.
Its got the odd ding and scratch from stage use and if you like a rasp in your bass sound its the filthiest sounding bass when played through hot valves.
If I can get £2000 for it I will be letting it go.(got the cert and original pickguard by the way)
As for the C64,
I know the reverse headstock on the C64 isnt everyones cup of tea but I just love the solid colour white and its a really quirky looking bass.
Thats going to be a real headturner onstage.

Wish I had the $ for a Sea Foam Green or TV Yellow. But it just isn't meant to be. Congrats to those who get one of these cool Rick basses!

Yes, congrats indeed. I'm in the same situation which precludes dropping big bucks on another instrument. I have a 'regular' fireglo 4001C64 but would love yellow or white (especially yellow). Just a little too rich for me right now.

What about this white '99 v63 on eBay (in Japan)? One-off or refin?

Maybe neither? White was a color option during the v63 run - it's possible that someone ordered one. We've seen MID, SG, TUR, why not?

I tend to think this one might be original too...

It's a shame Dr. Frankenstein isn't a RIC dealer.... Body parts could fetch a big price!

The white C64 IS a beauty for sure, so is that white CS too! The TV Yellow will be interesting to see.
