Roger Waters

Post by ken_j »

I was surfing some Pink Floyd sites yesterday and came across a few early pics that show Roger with his Rick. So I thought I would share them.

Hey now that you mention it? Your right!

Check out that drum set! Love these old shots. Looks like a garage band at this stage.

These guy's and other's just like them were the next step and have helped shape what Rock and Roll has become! Could you imagine Booing any one of these guy's at a concert?
I would give any price for a ticket to see Waters and Gilmore under the PINK FLOYD Banner again? Ohh well Should have went to see them when I had the chance years ago? Live and Learn.

Floyd is rumoured to be doing limited touring next year with the Gilmour, Waters, Wright, Mason lineup, so you may get your chance yet. You'll be paying for the priviledge I'm sure.

Where did you hear that rumor, Jeff? I'd love to see them all together again. How much bad blood can there be? They must know that they are better together than they will ever be apart.

What ever the cost it would be worth it. I saw them at the Silverdome for the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, unforgettable. I hope that it more than a rumour.

That certainly is quite a rumor! And Yes it certainly would be worth the price to go. Wherever you have heard this rumor please keep monitoring. Will ya? If this becomes a tour schedule I will need to order tickets within the first few hours/minutes to get front row. Let us know ASAP OK? Thanks Jeff

half way down...

Steve O'Rourkes Funeral

A funeral for Steve O'Rourke was held today at Chichester Cathedral in West Sussex. In a private tribute to a good friend, David Gilmour, Richard Wright, Nick Mason, and Roger Waters performed together. From what we understand The Great Gig in the Sky and Fat Old Sun was played. Dick Parry participated as well.

At least they can stand to be around one another for a few songs
Its a shame someone had to die for it to happen.

Sometimes it takes something like that to make people realize their differences are really petty and they can start to heal the wounds. I hope that is the case here.
And Ken, I was at the Silverdome show too, totally amazing. A tour with all of the original members (sans Syd, of course) would be mind-blowing.

I'd like to see it as well.

This got me wondering, and this is completely off topic, but I can't think of any major bands that have been around as long as Pink Floyd where all the original members are still alive.

The closest I can come up with is Aerosmith.
