why didn't they put a pickup in the mute assembly too? or maybe they coulda mounted one long continuous pickup from the bridge to the neck....sheesh!

I never found out what happened to my '78 4001 after I sold it....I can only pray that this isn't it. Hex head bolts on the treble pickup surround are a nice touch too!
