Record Label Only Using Rickenbackers

Post by matt-taylor »

I've just started working at this record label in the UK and they only record using vintage rickenbacker guitars with vox amps. I think you all should check them out to hear some of the rick's that are used.

I know they use:

4001 C64
1964 330S
325 but not sure of the year.

This is only to name a few. I've listened to some of the tracks and can hear the difference they make to the track.

Here are the links to check them out http://www.facebook.com/sonsrecords http://www.youtube.com/SONSRecords Tell me what me what you think on the Facebook page. Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I do.

Thanks
Matt

Huh, the website doesn't mention RICs that I see and the video doesn't have any either. Also, the video says they're located in Japan.

SONS records is in Stoke-On-Trent. Sons of Sons is a Japanese non-RIC band. No apparent connection...

Thread cleaned up. Both offending and companion posts were removed. Guys..........you know the rules. I should not have to remind anyone who has posted so far.

Those may be the only, "Rickenbacker only" labels. Would be cool if could find myself a Rickenbacker only band and get on a "Rickenbacker Only" label! 8)

I saw a Rick bass in one photo. . .

I also saw some Beatles suits. . . did RIC used to make Beatles suits?! Ooh, are there any for sale in the RIC outlet?!

Hey Sorry about the late reply. We have just put a picture up of a recording session. There are 2 rickenbackers behind the kit.

325 C58
1997 Rose Morris

Do have a look and leave some comments about what you think.

There will be more pictures going up soon. Also do check out some of the tracks on Facebook and Youtube as they have been recorded with Ricks too. They sound mint and I'm not just saying that because I work there. Ha ha

I know they use:
4001 C64
Nitpick: Is a C64 considered "vintage"?

It's got the vintage pick ups so it's got the sound. and I'm not to sure of the year because they were first issued in 1963 anyway. I'll find out the year for you :)
