Second Strum disappears when logged in here?
Have any of y'all noticed that the "Second Strum" non-Rick classified ads disappears from the forum index when you're logged in here?
Log on, it's right there under "RFF miscellaneous" at the bottom. Log off, nothing.
What am I missing?

Re: Second Strum disappears when logged in here?
Ok, sorry, I think I am now answering my own question - it's because I'm a new less-than-30-post member, right?
No sweat - I'll wait til I've earned it. However it does seem really odd - I mean, I get that i can't access the Rick marketplace now, but at least I can't even see that one when logged off / not registered. This means no one can see it unless they're a 30-plus member. On the other hand, non-member lurkers like I've been for a few years can see Second Strum and peruse individual posts, but registered members (with fewer than 30 posts) cannot. Odd.

Thanks for the report John. We will look into that issue and yes you did answer your own question. Full marks for that too.

Dang it, I just became "that guy" who will surely merit a few responses like, "the search function is really useful." D'oh! What a rookie I am.
Once more, sorry for any wasted bandwidth. (I still think it's odd - and maybe a glitch - that non-members can see some things that certain members can't (including members with instruments in the registry).
On another note, cool rule. Don't think TDPRI has anything like this.

To the contrary I don't think anyone is going to bug you about this. I think you'll fit in just fine around here btw. You have a great sense of humour.

I sent a friend, who is not a RRF member, a link on Second Strum last week and he was able to view the item for sale.

Re: Second Strum disappears when logged in here?
I recently listed my '05 Casino for sale here and on BGC. I didn't yet know how to get pics on BGC, so I posted links to the RRF Second Strum thread, since even non-members can see it. If a change is made, may I please suggest a big sticky announcement on all subforums? Thanks, J

Re: Second Strum disappears when logged in here?
Another observation about this as a new, not-yet-30-posts member is that when logged in, I *can* see the Rick Marketplace on the forum index, but I just can't access it (it shows zero posts and tells me I don't have privileges yet). However, when logged in, I cannot even see Second Strum on the forum index. Almost makes it seem as if Second Strum is more protected than Rick Marketplace for new members (except that, as discussed, non-members can see Second Strum).
Hope I didn't rock the boat, resulting in unwanted forum rules changes!
For whatever it's worth, I don't know how terrible it is that non-members can see Second Strum. Personally, I often look at listings on other sites and fora where I'm not a member, just to pass the time daydreaming about gear. I don't have a bad intention in the world of ripping someone off - just like being an outsider looking in.

2c: I think it's fine too, to have Strum visible to everyone. It's not like we have the volume of say, the Gear Page, which I just recently discovered.
