A Tip 'o the Hatlo Hat to Ivan Munoz
Most of you guys are too young to remember the " Hatlo Hat" but I'm sure some of you do. At any rate I wanted
to send a big shout out THANKS to Ivan Munoz who helped me recently with a Rickenbacker deal. He went out of
his way and I could not have done it without him. Ivan represents what is truly wonderful about this forum. You're
terrific Ivan!!!!

And I must be too old, I guess.

Just looked it up--NOW I remember! I think it ran in the Chicago American, which went bust in '59.

I gather that he was a cartoonist. A comic strip writer. But I confess that I had never heard of this fellow.

I recall reading his cartoons in the paper, but never knew why the Trib stopped having them.

We woulda heard about it if he did.bosco64 wrote:Did the kid finally get a Rick?
Seriously, Craig, I'm glad Ivan could help you out. He really does love this place and would give anything legal to get a 4001C64 or V63. What did he help you get? And what's a Hatlo Hat???
By the time next MARF rolls around, Ivan will be old enough where he doesn't need that much parental assisterance to go. Now you SoCal guys think, "Jake, you're 21 (next month!!!) and your mom goes with you to SCARF." That's cos my mama love me!

Ivan helped me acquire a nice 360/12 BlueBurst for under the seemingly official ebay price of $3495.
Ivan was great and as I said.....couldn't have done it without him.
A comic strip back in the horse and buggy days when I was a lad always had a "Tip 'o the Hatlo Hat" to some
individual who was deserving of gratitude. Hatlo was either the guy who wrote the strip or a character in the strip.
