And in other news.... a molar extracted from John Lennon in 1964 was just sold at auction in the UK for 19,500 pounds (close to $40,000 US dollars) to a Canadian dentist.
John gave the tooth to his housekeeper, and told her to either throw it away, or keep it as a Beatles souvenir for her daughter (which she did).

Canadian dentist Michael Zuk won the late Beatle's discarded, discolored molar with a winning bet of $31,200 U.S. (£19,500) at the Nov. 5 auction. The tooth was originally expected to fetch about $16,000.
As you can see above, the tooth is not a pristine artifact by any means. "It's rather gruesome, yellowy, browny with a cavity.
