Santa Delivered Something Rickenbacker To Me!

Post by Tommy »

Whoa, Santa dropped off something from the Rickenbacker dealer. You're a week early, Santa, but I won't send it back. I wonder what it is? I didn't know Ric is now dealing in glass. Very puzzled. Have to wait till Christmas to open this box. Just over a week to go.

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Did George own one? Or was it John?
If it is a mirror in that box I hope it at least comes with an Accent vibrato so I can make real wavy, goofy faces with it.

Man, I never heard that song. Liked it a whole lot. I love the Kipling "Gunga Din" poem and the Cary Grant film; didn't know a song existed with those famous words. Thanks a lot for that. Real good.

And, yeah, it's a Christmas present so that box won't be opened till next Sunday. It sure isn't easy to do. That box is sitting just five feet from me right now, calling me.

I loved the New Colony Six back in the day ... the into to "Love You So Much" reminded me of the intro to the Byrds' "I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better".

Yeah, but the waiting will make Christmas a lot of fun and very musical.

Problem is even on Christmas Day there will have to be some waiting.
- Early morning open presents with kids and family.
- Then a Knick game at 12. Love the Knicks and basketball and no way can presents get in the way of the season opener.
- Then after Knicks off to my brother's and his family.
Hopefully I will be opening that box sometime on Christmas. I want to have lots of time to myself when I take out what's in that box.

Okay...I've got a very busy week, so I'm not logging onto the forum until Christmas morning when I find out what this is! :P

Seriously, though, congrats, Tommy, but you shouldn't tease us like this!   Maybe we can play a game...does it have 12 strings or 6? :P

Or none? It says "glass" right on the box. Maybe Rickenbacker is branching out into the as-yet untapped glass harmonica market!

I'd take the box marked "glass" sitting on my doorstep, as opposed to the Gibson shipping boxes which have large graphics of the guitar and logo printed on the box, basically saying "I'M AN EXPENSIVE GUITAR, STEAL ME"
