I have learned to always be on the defensive in any situations involving any musicians. Just Sunday night I was at a rehearsal and dodged several guitarists' dopey moves.

I noticed the other day that i have 1 large and 4 or so small dings on my headstock from frequent contact with a crash cymbal. I just never quite had enough room in my band's rehearsal studio.

Thankfully, the dings are in the barrel of the cresting wave, so they're pretty well hidden!

I stay far away from my drummer at rehearsals! I don't want those cymbal dings! Jonathan and a few others here have seen my band's rehearsal room. I'm on the other side of the room from my drummer.

Em, yeah....it wasn't good!

It started with "YOU STUPID *** ** * *****", and the guitarist laughing.

What REALLY ticked me was I asked him to shift right. He had open space to his right and in front of him. No, he HAD to move BACK and LEFT!
My 78 is nearly spotless, was anyway. I don't mind an honest ding here and there, but it was just uncalled for. IF it were my CS, I'd be on the 11 O'clock news! :(

I was almost decapitated by a flying crash cymbal at a gig. The wing nut thing came off and the cymbal soon after. It sailed right over my left shoulder and landed on my pedal board.

And I'd post bail. Justifiable homicide.
