I believe I have that issue on my pile of magazines, waiting to be over read. I think it just went to the top of the heap! 8)

Won't be at the local newsstand until middle of January, so I just subscribed. Should have done that a long time ago.

Same here a few months back. After waiting to get it at the book store and sometimes missing it, I just got a
subscription and have been happy since.

Do as I did when I first saw the magazine on a news stand, order all the back issues.

Of course, that first issue I got was issue #4! You'd have to fork over a bit more $$$.

I would think! I am starting with issue 73 as it has a Les Claypool feature. And the local has #71 and 72 on hand.

I thought the interview was a bit of a missed opportunity to be honest, it only seemed to rehash what most of us know already. They should have done a full interview, at least double the length, and he definitely deserved to be on the cover! Although the Gibson bass and Hiwatt stack are pretty tasty... 8)

I agree with the above,
Someone should do an interview with Chris that deals with stuff like his rig and past rigs to get some history.
We know quite a bit of this stuff already but an updated bit of detail wouldnt go amiss.
Also an interview with his roadie would shed a lot of light on the technical side and we could even get to look under the hood of his RM.

Also, in the side column where they list his gear, they use a picture of a completely different Rick bass! This isn't the first time this magazine has been guilty of such sloppy picture choices though, sadly.

Yes and they do seem too handy at pumping the bass guitar academy courses and the profiles of their contributors who just happen to appear either on an album or at live gig they are reviewing.
It kind of harks back to the music trade magazines of the 70s that always had the same guys advertising stuff as well as writing the articles.
I was going to get in touch with BGM and suggest that next time they can use one of my 4001CS photos rather than a shot of the wrong guitar!

An opportunity missed as you say.
