Glad to hear it Joey. It's one of the really good ones.

BTW, I never did get to the bottom of what the original owner told me - that the pickups were "re-wound by Lindy Fralin". Sure sounds good though!

It does sound really good, I just wish the guy that sold it to me (the guy that owned it after you) would have mentioned the lack of "finished fingerboard skill" on the part of the guitar repairman who changed out the frets to '60's specs.

I had a '75 or so 4080 doubleneck in white, bass and six-string. Loved that bass... was and still am a Rush fan, and used to play it to Xanadu while watching the early MTV videos... that was a magic time.

Pawned it for $180.00 back in 1983 or so in Boise, Idaho when I was hard up for money... never did get it back, and haven't been able to track it down.

Would love to have that bass back. It meant a lot to me. Also had a cool early 70's 4001 fretless that I wouldn't mind having back!

I used to live in the Boise area, never saw anything like that.

But, that's where I sold the only one I'm still looking to get back, my '74 Mapleglo 4001. I can't really say I regret selling it because we really needed the money more than I needed the bass at the time. But still, I keep looking and if I ever find it, it's a good bet I'll buy it, whatever the current condition...

Well, that is somewhat true since we were about 1 hour North of Boise, living on over 110 acres with the nearest neighbors being about a mile away...
