I took my post from the Spandau Ballet thread and simply changed one or two words. It works here just the same.

Thompson Twins using a Rickenbacker? Nah.

Those guys were all about the perfect presentation, looking good. So, yeah, they get a gorgeous Rickenbacker and put it in a video. No way were they recording with that guitar or using it live. Pure Fender sound for their brand of pop.

After reading this TT thread i searched for info on Alannah Currie ( the chick with the butterfly on her heid) anyway interestingly her Her songwriting credits include "I Want That Man", an international hit for Deborah Harry in 1989.Also after her marriage to Tom Bailey failed she is now married to Jimmy Cauty AKA one half of the KLF Last train to transcentral you know the track they play at platform 9 3/4s..... furthermore i didnt know he was the co founder of the Orb aswell AKA the man who burned a million cash....In Jura (a fine whiskey) This money represented the bulk of the K Foundation's funds, earned by Drummond and Cauty as The KLF, one of the United Kingdom's most successful pop groups of the early 1990s.

The KLFs most notorious performance was a collaboration with Extreme Noise Terror at the February 1992 BRIT Awards, where they fired machine gun blanks into the audience and dumped a dead sheep at the aftershow party(although it might have been mutton dressed as lamb). This performance announced The KLF's departure from the music business, and in May 1992 the duo deleted their entire back catalogue.

funny how a thread takes your to the TT to KLF when im involved Well im enjoying it......
