Then all you have to do is get Chris Squire to persuade Vince Gallo to sort out some pics of the 8string.
Jobs a good un.
Congratulations Paul.

Heard from my contact at BackBeat Books today (28 Dec.) that they will be sending me a contract in early January. The advance for the book will allow me to afford the software that they need me to use, and I'll be rolling again this winter. Right now, they are giving me a year to finish, but I'm going to come in early no doubt.

So now all you guys who have promised me photos, now's the time to come through and be a part of the book!

Yeeehaw! :D
Paul - Any more photos you need from me? Remember, we sold that 1961 4001, the first one, early last year. LMK. Great to hear of all the progress!

Paul - I also have high-res photos of Bob Daisley's 1964 4001S, which is just like McCartney's. LMK.

Mike, I used the single full frontal shot of the '61 that you sent me in the book. I'm always up for more, but at some point I'll have to close submissions and finish the book. If you have more of any interesting Rick bass, please send them on!

i think you should make the book so you could add inserts as more info come available...all you have to do is print them up and notify us swines, and we buy them. this way we'll always have an up to date collection !!! :D (sorry if all you swines don't like being called swines !)

Paul--is there a place to pre-order yet? :D
very cool that Mr.Squire is going to add some sage words to your tome.

also,if you're doing one-offs,or more precisely, customized ricks, would you be interested in showing my laredo 4002v57? RRF member John Luke has professional photos of it,which i presume he wouldn't mind making available to you. (it was his bass originally and customized by RRF member Dane Wilder)

No pre-ordering yet, and probably won't be necessary.

I think John did send me photos, or at least offered to already, but I will check through my hundreds of electronic files soon.
