I was just paying my respects to Gary Strater of "Starcastle" signing his guestbook, checking out some band photo's, and happened to notice this pic,

It appears to be a 4001/4003 mapleglo with black trim,,,,but with black dot inlay..????

I have much respect for Gary, he was a great player and will be missed.

Thats what I thought, you cant quite make out the binding though.

I've taken the pic and blown it up and still can't see the white checkers on the top.....maybe not a Shadow....whew!!(wiping sweat from brow)

What's a white checker? I can see a round white dot near the top of the headstock in the first picture.

If its a stripped shadow, it would have black binding with white checkers, kinda reverse or (negative effect) of the typical check binding.
