Uups sorry,
I think i wrote something stupid, which was funny. It maybe because im not native english or american !
Sorry for having been not exact. But what i meant is repair of minor cracks in the mapleglo(alderglo) finnish.

Peter, try the link that Mark posted for very good discussion and guidance. This subject comes up a lot so you can search using "finish ding" or "repair chip", for example, and find a lot of good stuff. :)

Wait hold on a minute this could finish checking can you post a pic of the guitar in question this might be better so that some forum members here can have a look and assess what would be the best course of action to adhere to..

Cracks and dings are two very different animals, both in cause and repair.

And "new" may also mean "recently acquired, but older".
