Doesn't look TOO bad....it could be brought back, I believe.....just can't tell how the controls have been changed. It DOES come with a couple of extra pickguards.....

hmmmmm.....

How come the neck pickup is over the strings, not to mention badly out of alignment with same? Or is it my eyes?
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Mutilated or not, it's one of my favorite bass models, supposedly owned by one of my favorite bassists. Unfortunately now is not a good time for me to bid on it...holidays coming up soon and another 4004Cii5 coming with an unknown ETA.
I hope it goes to a forumite.

Jared, the trans red 4004Cii5 that I am waiting for is the one that I actually ordered a year ago this past Thursday. The one I have was originally ordered as an in store item for Pick of The Ricks. When Chris told me about it, I said put my name on it when it arrives.

Oh Scott Doseck, happy belated birthday dude !

I was the previous owner of this particular bass. I owned it for about 4 years. It played great actually, but was mutilatedfor sure. I should have held onto it and sold it to some of your shadow affcionados.

I was never actually able to trace it to a specific picture or video, The bass was dated to late 1986 from what I recall so I would think that late 80's early 90s Black Sabbath tours most likely. At the time I bought it, there was also an 8 string that had similar control modifications that was from Geezer's collection. The story I got, was that one of Geezer's guitar techs put them both up for sale when he was moving out of the Austin area to Puerto Rico. I bought it around 1999-2000 and I sold it a year ago.
