Even if it was a "metal" bass that he wanted, A Rick sounds better than any other bass used for a metal band.

I'm constantly bombarded with Warwick/Ibanez/Spector players day after day.

Ugh, utterly **** basses. And I never say that lightly. Nor is it bias. They really are, for the money - utter junk.

I have a Warwick Corvette Pro-Line 5 string, I think its a very nice bass.

Two words: ADJUSTABLE NUT

One hell of an innovation borrowed from Alembic. Should be an industry standard in my opinion.

I agree, I very much liked the adjustable nuts on the two Alembics I had.

Too funny, cant say anything around here! Image

Seriously though, I truly think that this is a million dollar idea for anyone that can produce a direct replacement adjustable nut.

It is not a terribly difficult thing to do. I will give it some thought. The way Alembic does it is rater elegant.

the 2030 bass is excellent for metal ... and I assume the 4004CII5 would be as well ...

The 4004Cii5 might work out well for a heavy metal band...

I think the 4003S/8 could cut the muster in a metal band.

I think he was young and just didn't know any better to tell you the truth, I think I e-mailed him about playing metal with it, but he probably sees a lot of metal bands with Ibanez basses and thinks that they are the thing to have. I bought my first P bass when I was 18 because of a picture on a Grand Funk album (even though it was a Jazz).
