Anyone know who this is?
Hey! Just found this great video of Etta James. There is a guy in her backing band playing what I think is a 58' Capris. He really brings out what a Rickenbacker should sound like!
Does anyone know who this is?

Thanks
Matt

It's Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown on a 1966 Texas R&B TV show called "The Beat". He was part of the house band...do a youtube search for "Clarence Gatemouth Brown The Beat" and you will see he make that Rick Capri shine!!

Exactly!! BTW that 1960 375 Capri in my avatar is MINE...and she sounds just as sweet!

Thanks! That song is ace. That Ric doesn't half shine
Re: Anyone know who this is?
The Capri in question was for sale in Europe a few years ago IIRC. Should be a thread here somewhere....
Re: Anyone know who this is?
I don't think so. I believe it was Hubert Sumlin's Capri that was for sale. Had a huge amount of wear on the top. Very cool.

Sometimes, after a few good Pinot Noir's, the old mind finds a little clarity...
