4001C64 pickguard

Anybody happen to have a tracing of one? I want to do a vintage-style "large" pickguard on my '93 4003S/8. I'll need to make a hybrid of the original, and the C64. Pickguardian makes one, but it's for current models, whose PGs don't match mine at all.

I've bought two and never thought of doing a trace.

I still have my C64 pickguard.
It was going to go on the white CS but it was the wrong shape so that bass now sports a pickguardian plain version of the CS guard.
Do you need to just get a tracing or buy a C64 guard?

I just need a tracing. I doubt a straight up C64 guard would fit my '93 8 string. I was going to take the tracing, lay mine on top of it, and create a hybrid that will fit, and not require any drilling.

Just trace your guard, then move it back 1/2" or so and retrace the rear portion. If you're going to leave the upper rear hole where it is to avoid drilling a new hole, it won't look right. I've seen this done.

That pickguard was made by Pickguardian by my custom ordering.
I bought that Ric RM1999 reissue bass new but I dislike Ric factory pickguard fitted on because it was not perfect shape and it used material different to '60s Ric original. Cutting was not precise to original detailing, especially in front pickup cutout was too large and awkward.
So, I was not satisfied in the Ric factory production then I remade it to right authentic detailing.
And at the same time, I detached the Finger Rest it is I don't need it anytime and I used slot head screws for fixing the pickguard as like an original '60s.

Koji, you changed even the pickguard screws to give the bass "that" '60s look, but you use the straplock system?

Every 60's RIC I've ever seen used Phillips screws on the pickguard. All of the other screws should be flat head screws though..except the tailpiece and tug bar screws.

Yes, I have changed an original Strap Pins to Marve Strap Lock Pins.
I did securing the Lock Pins used #10 machine screws(same thread size as Ric original Strap Pins).
I have cut the screws slightly around the head and cut the inner diameter of Marve Lock Pins it could be matching to both combination.
I did not modifying the body of the bass.
By that, it can return originally easily at any time.
