Did Rickenbacker ever make a bass/12 string doubleneck?

Yes...it was called a 4080/12

Any Rickenbacker doubleneck is rare. 4080/12's seem to be the rarest of them. Usually when you see one for sale, it's a 4080 (4 string bass and 6 string guitar).

I have a freind who used to play one in a Genesis tribute act. Not the same as Rutherford's but it seemed to do the trick. Didn't Geddy Lee use one as well?

looks like a rare pic as it seems the 12 still has it's higains...he had later put two gibson standard humbuckers in it.

Dane T had a 1976 Rickenbacker 4080/12, bass and twelve-string. He sold it though.
