4004/5 CII finally shipping!

Post by pma »

After a long 16 month wait, Rickenbacker told my dealer that my new 5 string is shipping today. I can't wait. Will post a pic and comments when I receive it.

Regards,
Paul

Congratulations !
I can't wait to see the pics and hear how you like it.

(BTW......me and at least several others on this forum have been waiting since January 2001 for our 4004LK's to ship so 16 months isn't too bad for a RIC! )

Paul, I am almost as anxious as you are to see you finally receive your 4004Cii5. I'm happy for ya. Congrats, we'll compare our thoughts on the bass.

Yeah, I keep telling myself it will be quite a while so I can save up. Anybody want to buy a nice reissue '62 Jazz Bass?

It doesn't usually get cold enough to need fire wood where I live in So.Cal.

Mine has an excellent Sunburst finish. It also has a very nice pickguard from Pickguardian and Hipshot Vintage tuners that blow away the Gotohs that Fender puts on these basses. Image

Jps, if you ordered one now, You probably wouldn't receive it until the spring of 2006. Paul is waiting 16 months, I'm waiting over a year for the trans red 4004Cii5 that I ordered. That might help give you time to get enough money saved. Until the trans red arrives, I have this baby to shake the walls with:

Hey Joey...I'm curious...except for the color, what will be the difference between the two 4004/5's you're gonna have? Are you gonna tune one different, have one at home and one at band practice or what?
