More From Johnny Rogan

Post by jimk »

It seems he's written an expanded version of his biography of the Byrds. Read about it here

I actually have "Timeless Flight Revisited" on its way, is it any good? Does this guy know his "Byrd-sh*t"?

I have no idea, Ronn. I just pass along the link to an interview with Rogan for the purpose of further discussion about our favorite group. I keep telling myself I need to read Timeless Flyte.

The name of the new Rogan book on the Byrds is "The Byrds: Requiem for the Timeless."

The article implies that it is the first of a two-volume set.

I have his previous Byrds book winging its way to me, reviews were good, may have to get the new one too.

What a shame you ordered the 'previous' book from the mid-90s. 'Requiem . . . Vol 1' is 1200 pages and actually cheaper than the one you just ordered!

Not a shame at all as I'm not gonna be reading a 1200 page book, nothing interests me THAT much.

I seem to remember that David Crosby disputed Rogan's book and said that a lot of what Rogan said was untrue. Anyone remember that?

I deleted the offending post Jason. We do not allow advertisements and more especially when they are cleverly hidden in the signature line.
