4001 tuner trade: E/A Wavy Grover for D/G Wavy Grover

Post by Sir Ricardo »

Hello:

I've posted this thread in the "For Sale" section, because that's where I figured it should be......but thought I'd also post it here, since it IS for a bass tuner.

Basically, I've got a E/A wavy Grover tuner to trade, and would like a D/G wavy Grover in return. Mine is in excellent condition, and would prefer the same.

PM if interested -

best -

Richard

Aren't they reversible? I think I remember reading that, with a bit of tinkering I mean.

Yes they are. I've been trying to find the thread where I showed someone else that they were reversible. It was from a few years ago. Sometimes the search function works great and other times not.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I appreciate the idea to "reverse" my tuner.

However, I put the odds at my successfully doing so at approximately 1%. I have a couple of broken tuners, and once they are broke, unless you know how to "tap" them, they stay broke. At least that's been my experience.

So...........I think I'll wait and find somebody who want to trade.

thanks guys, I appreciate your idea -

Richard

As an aside, does anyone have any pics of a disassembled tuner?

We'll, I had two Grovers that "poped" tapping didnt work. I'm a lefty so I was stuck. I went to Home Depot and bought Expoxy 3200 PSI the kind you mix, Applied it two both Grovers. Clamped it for 24 hours. Put it back on and they have been rock solid for about 7 months. And I use this bass out allot. Have changed the strings about once a month and there is no signs of it coming apart
