I would have to partially disagree with Ron on this.

While the earlier ones did have the clear edges showing, the gold TRCs that have come on some "reissue" models since 1984 and the more recent 660 models have painted edges.

Kevin is correct on the gold reissue TRCs -- sides painted.

I was thinking of the vintage ones, which are not.
