U2: From the Sky Down
I watched this last night. There are a lot of RiCS in this Doc including quick shots of Adam playing one in the early days. One of the things that I was most struck with was just how much of a musician/composer Bono is. He really is the ringleader. I guess for me the political/activist side of him had overshadowed the muscian so much that I never realized how much of one he is. I have always loved U2 and thought Edge was the main creative force but this documentary says otherwise. New respect for Mr. Hewson.

Was this broadcast on a cable channel, DVD/Blueray, or other?

Brian,
This is a thread I started several months ago which should be right on topic:

You might make future posts on this subject to the Rickenbacker Artists section.

Re: U2: From the Sky Down
Hmmm no mention of this Documentary in this thread you reference. The 3D movie was a few years ago IIRC while from the Sky down is very recent.Folkie wrote:Brian,

Re: U2: From the Sky Down
I thought the two threads would dovetail nicely, as both the U23D movie and the new documentary show Edge running through his gamut of Rics. Also, someone posted live footage of Edge playing his 330/12 through his delay pedal. Pretty cool stuff!
