Thanks Jeff. I enjoyed that immensely.
I always love seeing necks before they are shaped. For some reason it still jars my brain to think that those big lumps of wood will become those elegant pieces of art....
I'm also intrigued by the fact that the holes for the pickup wiring are drilled after the finish is applied. Obviously more efficient that way.

I was intrigued by a bunch of stuff, the order of construction was unique in a few places, I though. I liked the way the frets were installed, and how the guy placed the drill to make the fingerboard dots, etc. Pretty wild, really.

Very cool.

Apparently there are three things that happen as you age. First you start to lose your memory and............the other two I can't remember. Case in point, I have seen this video before but I can't remember where.
It's a great video never the less. Thanks for posting it Jeff.

Very interesting and well done. The instrumental fake Beatles music was a bit cheap, though.
All I wanna do is rock!

I had a German RI one, very nicely made, that is now being played regularly (as it should be) by another forumite.

I had a 66 that was stolen in 87 with my last Ric. I would really like one of those RI cavern basses. Great video. Thanks JPS. Mark

Same here. But after watching that video, and seeing the amount of hand work which goes into building them, I started thinking "Well......maybe......."michael.m wrote:Great video That reminds me, that I still haven´t got a Hofner bass

They are very easy to play, particularly if you are migrating to bass from guitar. They sound great too....one of these and a 4000 series bass and you have a complete arsenal (especially if you're in a Beatles cover band).jimk wrote:Same here. for low-end thump (and not just of the beatle variety) - nothing better!
