Follow the yellow-brick road. The Ruby 620 is fantastic.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

That 620 looks like the same one that was listed at Dave's Guitars about 3 weeks ago.

This well known eBay seller is not an authorized RIC dealer so they should not be describing the guitar as "BRAND NEW, NEVER OWNED".

So they've done a batch of 620's then? I saw the Pick of the Ricks just filled a 381V69, a 4004L, and a 4004Cii--can't wait to see what lucky musicians own those.

Erm, no. The Dave's 620 was likely the NAMM guitar.

Sweet Ruby 4004! Call me crazy but I'd be real tempted to swap out the chrome hardware for some black! Yeah, I'm just crazy like that!! :D

Jeff,

Oh my, no! I'm counting my pennies for that elusive 4002 I'm chasing!! :D I have a 4004 and it fills that hole quite nicely. I did not think I'd be attracted to owning a "Red" bass but I love the color of the new ruby!! If I did not already own the TVY 4004, I'd most likely be seriously interested in buying one in ruby and swap out the hardware for black. I think that would rock!!

I guess I should not be too shocked about liking the ruby color. I remember seeing early 70's 4001's in burgundy and being quite smitten.

I know who has the 381V69! (See the pics on the NAMM thread)

When I sent the warranty registration to RIC, I put a note in the envelope to Richard Cannatta, requesting a letter stating that I did indeed get the NAMM model....

I got it on Thursday!

Definitely a nice thing to have, and a big thank you to Richard for the extra effort - it's much appreciated.

Congrats Bob. There may also be some markings inside the control cavity like my 1996 AFG has.

You could just have PW refinish the TVY 4004 in Ruby.
