I'm like that with tripods; many different camera systems have come and gone but I have the same tripods since the mid '80s, two different Gitzos and a Ries. 8)

I'm just a youngin (25) so the best I could do is a pic of my 78' 4001 when I first got it when I was 20-21.

Sadly I don't have any pics of me and my new JG 4003 that I got in February.

Here's another round...

Here's me playing the same 1974 4001, though this is probably 1987? I dunno....it's all hazy from back then.
(BTW, the "Young Artist" caption was not done by me. A friend of mine put that on there & it's the only copy of this picture I have.)

Me in the studio playing a Rickenbacker that belonged to Mike Mills of REM. It wasn't mine, the studio owner had purchased it from Mike & had all the documentation. It had the Bartolini/Badass mods. This is probably 1993 or so.

And another shot of the the 2003 Monty Brown 4003. This is probably from 2007. Now with "lens flare"!

thanks it was my first rick and the second bass I ever owned. I'm not the one that refinished it I got it like that off another forum member here. It has some issues though and needs a decent amount of work done to it so my new 2010 JG 4003 is my go to bass until I can restore the 4001.

Champlain Place has just become extinct.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Matt, is that the same JG that ended up A Long & McQuade, someone ordered a while back and then decided they didn't want you mention? not too many Rics land in Moncton NB :)

bought my first amp at the woolco in champlain place circa '74(now walmart) it was a brentwood br-5 solid state combo with a 5" oval speaker and my first bass , a marlin EB3 copy at the old eatons highfield square. got MD-1252 at musicland on main street back in the late '70's...actually the only rick i ever saw in a store while i lived there from '69 to '81. canada was a dumping ground for a lot of rare instruments and amps in the '70's. i'll get some pics of me for this show.

andrew...i'll come visit in october.
