We met Jim at NAMM a few years back; 2009, I think it was. It was his last NAMM.
Juliana had her photo taken with him. Although his handlers were closing up shop and getting ready to take him back to his hotel, he saw Juliana looking disappointed and asked her over specifically for the photo. She was thrilled. Jim was a soft-spoken and self-effacing gentleman. RIP.

I am very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. The Marshall amplifier certainly brought about more changes in personality than one might have predicted. If heaven didn't hear those with electric guitars before, they will now.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I met him once at NAMM too, and didn't even know it. I went to the Marshall booth as the show was opening up, and was checking out the new lineup. Some old dude was standing next to me looking at them and it wasn't until somebody called him "Mr. Marshall" that I realized who it was. doh!

Damn.. everything i have known or regarded as good seems to be leaving this world lately.... I feel so much older these days. RIP JM. I have a couple of your amps. Thank you and God Bless.
