OK, let me see if I have figured out this Serial Number bit

Post by armybass »

Just got my new to me Ric MG 4003. On the input jack plate the top number is 10 and the bottom number is 23350....would I be correct in assuming this was the 23350 instrument made in 2010?

Your guitar was manufactured in week number 23 of the year 2010. Look here:

Thank you sir.... I was off a bit... 25350 so that would make it the 25th week of 2010....very good. I now know more than I did this morning....and I got a new Ric....what a day it is turning out to be.

I am at work and not sure if that picture is gonna show up....but I will certainly be taking more when I get home. Man the neck on this bass is quite a bit thinner feeling than my 2011 JG..... I dig it.
