I thought I heard some jaws dropping. Let people pick them up first before the comments role in!

And while I am not a lefty player, it's good to see them getting attention again. I think it shows that the build time at the factory has perhaps gotten more manageable allowing for other things like the new Ruby color to come out. I'd imagine it's hard to consider product changes or additions when you're working on playing catchup.

Cheers to RIC, and congrats to you LH players. :D
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

I am very glad RIC is catching up on production that they can make lefties.

Well, good that Guitar Center is back on the dealer list. I don't know how many "Platinum" stores they have but I am certain the Fresno store isn't one of them. It's funny, I ordered a Gibson a few years ago from Guitar Center. When it was shipped it came from the "communal" Musician's Friend warehouse and had "Platinum" stickers all over the box. I guess they might have 1 or 2 in a brick & mortar and keep the rest in the warehouse til bought and shipped.

Well, that's about half right! We're *HOPING* to have brought the backlog down due to capacity increases by the time lefties are in full swing.

There's 30 stores with Platinum show rooms, each of which should be showing ten instruments. As I understand it, there won't be any goods in the warehouse. Their idea is to show photos of the actual instruments online, store by store to guide your selection. They won't be sold in the regular shops as we still simply can't fill the orders and we actually had to negotiate down a limit on how many guitars they could have each year.

That's really cool news, glad to hear they will be on the shelves!

I never even knew they had PLATINUM stores, but whatever gets 'em in the hands of folks to try is a good thing!

Just to be clear, it's not that they have Platinum stores, but rather stores that have Platinum showrooms. Obviously they've done some form of demographic study to determine which stores should have that feature.
