The Cheyenne Is In The House!!!!!!!

So Jared you just picked up that one at Rhodes. It’s new isn't it? And it came with an unfinished board and if I’m not mistaken, walnut wings – thank you! Wow! wonder what happened there. Both my 4004Cii have finished boards - a 2003 & 2004. I'm actually considering another one. I just love these basses!

Hot!
Having said that, string gap on that beauty is wide. Makes me wonder whether the E and particularly the G string are correctly sensed by the treble pickup. The concealed, dual blade polepiece on that pickup is exactly 2 1/4" long, and so is the bar magnet providing gauss thereto. Have you plugged that bass in yet, Ted?

A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
The Cheyenne belongs to an old friend. I helped is wife buy it for him as a surprise gift last year for his birthday. Some of you may have noticed that it came from Mike Parks. There is still a pic of it on Mikes website. It has to be one of the most beautiful CII's on the planet.
Actually, you are right Sergio. I have told my friend that and he hs thinking about adjusting the bridge to move the strings more in line with the pickup.

Ken: The flame top benefits from consistent graining across all three body segments. It is laminated but the grain magically matches. This is a rare combo. This Cheyenne is truly gifted. If it had Scott's headstock it would be the most spectacular CII I have ever seen. BTW The owner of this bass loves the flame of Scott's headstock.
