What a bummer. I had a tailpiece break on a ****** acoustic some years back. It would have cost more than I paid for the guitar to put on a new one though, so I just chalked it up to a loss. Glad you found a replacement.

The silver lining is that there's now a dealer in BFE, and it gave me a reason to visit and chum up.And the price was surprisingly reasonable.

So, will Ric still sell you an R tailpiece if you send them the broken one? I don't think that was clearly stated here. Also, any chance of getting a black replacement, or will it have to be chrome? The reason I ask is because I've got a lead on a Ric with a broken tailpiece.

Happy update: replacement part has arrived ,and been installed ,with new strings.Ernie Ball 2230 set.I'll let it settle in, make any adjustments needed and then finish the JangleboxLE comparison project.
Then.back into the vault with it.

Good luck intonating the unison G string. May I suggest that in order to keep that set intonated, you get a wound unison G string, like a D'addario 17 or 18 wound.

Have had NO problem with that set, on it or on the 660-12.
I prefer it to anything I've had on it since it was new.
