Re: a ricky newbie.
i've spoken to my joiner friend and he says he can re-work the ricky back to brand new.hes going to strip the paint off, plug the holes and re-paint it near enough the same colour.i'll get the sparkys to re-wire it to.i've also found out why there are holes in the fret board and 2 in the back.the muppet who owned it before me tried to put LED lights in with the wire coming out of the back of the neck.i will probably put a new fret board on but we'll see.

congrats on your purchase and finding your way here.jazzmanmike wrote:thanks guys for the reception and your replies,i'm going to post pics as soon as i get chance.i put the ricky through my ashdown yesterday phew.........what a beast & i've also been playing with the pick ups and tone controls and i love the sound.once i've identified the model and shown you the pics i'll make up my mind whether to leave it alone or get it re-painted.its still giggable just cosmetically in poor shape.either way i'm going to use it.mike
