Thanks Evan! I got my guitar yesterday. Reading all the info I can glean from the internet it looks like my guitar was probably made between 1984 and 1990. I'd have to take the neck off to find the actual date it was made. I don't want do that now because it has new strings and plays really nice. I note that Lee's guitar is an export model - the headstock difference was apparently enough of a change to pass muster in the US. Your version is either pre-lawsuit era or domestic Japanese stock Mitch, probably the latter.
