Bass pickup cover/handrest... curved ok?

I ordered a 4003 pickup cover (the famous handrest) from the RIC Boutique... it arrived well packed, but it's a little curved. Is that normal? Will it straighten out normally upon installation, or should I contact them about getting a replacement? Thanks, J

Hey Dog. Hmm. Doesn't sound right to me. Might want to get back to them. It's somewhat flexible, but sounds like it may be warped. Should be pretty flat across the top.

It's warped against the direction of the "U." So it's like an "M" or "W."

I sent RIC a photo and they say it's not too bad. This was the extent of the reply. Can I expect it to straighten out after installation?

They all bow a bit prior to installation. If they didn't, they'd rattle on the mounting bolts.
