Red Ricks' yrs made?

My apologies if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't find it: What years did Rickenbacker make the fire-engine red basses with the black hardware? I'm not talking about the "Redneck/Bloodstar", as those had the painted fretboards. I'm talking about these:

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

If you want one and can't find one, Larry Davis does a superb job of refinishing Ricks in Fire Engine Red; Mapleglo makes a great base coat... ;)
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...
