TV knobs on a 4001...?

I am curious if anyone has installed TV style knobs on their 4001. I found a photoshop styled photo here on the forum, but nothing "real". I also saw a posting that they would not fit...at least in the stock locations. I wonder if one had a new pickguard made, the switches could be spaced farther apart, allowing room. Anyway, was curious if anyone had a photo of a successful change over.

there are a few years where the knobs shifted closer in alignment...pre-'75 should be ok and the newer 4003 basses. this will look a little cluttered though as the knobs have a larger diameter.
