My McCartney 4001C64S... sad...

Post by yfoiler »

Well, I hope someone on the forum can take advantage of this. Sadly I just listed my Macca Ric bass on EBay for a buy it now of $1950... I know....I know... It's the economy... :(

You should list it here in the for sale section and avoid the fees

Marc's right...after eBay and Paypal fees, you're looking at only $1811.15. Yikes!

Thanks, I thought of that, but I need this thing gone faster than fast. :(

Keep your eyes peeled. In a week or so next up is my Tuxedo---the real deal.

eBay is 9% commission plus any listing/insertion fees. Paypal is 3%. The eBay commision is included for shipping costs too.

It's a little bit cheaper for fixed cost listings, but it does add up. However, it does put your item out to a larger group of people and, depending on the item, you may be able to adjust your asking price to compensate a little. I came out decent on my last sale, but I don't know how people can make a living selling on ebay.

Not to worry, guys. It's going to a very good home. I look forward to playing it, very soon.

Thanks, guys! I've spent the entire day playing this sweet bass. Thanks again to Martin for hooking me up with such a nice instrument. :D
