Get the biggest one you can fit into your car, you will need the real estate, eventually. This one might be big enough, maybe!artisan4 wrote:Spent last night looking at pedalboards on The Gear Page, my brain hurts....

Fulltone Full-drive 2
Lots of flexible and effective controls. Nice boost. Good sound.

My Sweetwater rep was telling me a story about a guy who had a custom pedal board built, wanted it 12 inches wide, but used the wrong punctuation and it came out as 12 feet. There is a picture of it somewhere, they even made a 12 foot case for it to fit in.jps wrote:Get the biggest one you can fit into your car, you will need the real estate, eventually. I use a Tube Screamer (TS-9) set for very, very light drive as a solo boost. The mid-boost of the TS-9 makes it cut a little bit extra, and the slight extra dirt is a gorgeous thing through a driving AC15 or my Hot Rod Deville 4x10. I think the Tube Screamer really shines as a solo boost/light drive.

Re: Boost pedal for solos
I have a Tim Overdrive pedal that works very well.

The builder also offers the Timmy, a stripped down version of the Tim.

I was looking at the Tim, quite a backorder situation. I am leaning towards the Blackstone overdrive.

Re: Boost pedal for solos
I use a Fulltone OCD v.1...
It has a Volume control, Gain control, and a switch that is attributed to tone (relating to pickup selection in your instrument). I have it plugged into the 18v input of my brick. that changes the sounds you can get out of the OCD as well....
I typically set it up with my Ric at full volumes, then back down the volume on my instrument to where it needs to be when playing rhythm.
I also have a TTE, and that combined with the OCD makes great sounds with all of the various instruments I play through it....

I have been using a Blackstone for a few months now. I love this pedal. Got rid of my TS, FT2, and Crunch Box. The Blackstone does it all and does it very, very well.artisan4 wrote:I was looking at the Tim, quite a backorder situation. I am leaning towards the Blackstone overdrive.
