What kind of supplements are you taking Jeff?

I experiment with many supplements ... but the number one supplement is coral calcium ...

there are several things to do to be healthy ... avoid soda pop, white sugar, white flour, and food additives ... then take good quality suppliments that contain minerals and vitamins ...

modern food lacks many important trace minerals needed for good health ... your body heals itself every day ... for it to keep doing that you need to give it the trace minerals and other nutrients that it needs ...

actually I have a whole lot to say on that subject ... if you guys think I am passionate about 5 string Ric basses ... if you get me going on healing and nutrition I get even more excited ... pretty much any chronic or degenerative disease can be sucessfully treated with nutrition ...

Also there are several things that are free that you can do to be healthy ... get fresh air, get sunshine, walk daily, drink more water, eat fresh uncooked fruits and vegetables daily, get enough sleep, keep a positive attitude,

Jeff, I have had some problems with an ankle I injured years ago. It was getting to where I was hobbling around at the end of the day. You are right, the nutritional route is the way to go. I did a lot of different brands of supplements, but the most effect and a no-brainer was Dr. Julian Whitaker's Forward Plus Daily Regimen. That's a mouthful to say, but it comes in packets of 8 capsules that has all the stuff I had been taking without sorting through a lot of bottles and buying different supplements constantly.

ALSO, and this is important, you can't get well on supplements if your digestive system is whacked out. Two things helped me out: intensive fasting to get rid of old toxic buildup while resting my digestive system and probiotics to re-establish friendly bacteria to help digestion. I did a 10-day and a 12-day fast, and will do a full two weeks before long. Nothing that comes in a bottle can take the place of fasting.

If you have EVER been on a course of oral antibiotics, and I was after a motorcycle wreck, you are automatically a candidate for probiotics if you are experiencing any gastrointestinal problems or "lifestyle disease" problems. Laying off of refined sugars, food additives, and processed foods is essential as well.

Mineral deficiencies are much worse than vitamin deficiencies, and a sulfur deficiency usually figures into a large percentage of arthritis cases. I took MSM for a while and it worked some for joint pain, but probiotics really got me over the top. I get my calcium from broccoli and avoid heavy use of milk products, which rob your bones of calcium in order to counteract the acidity it produces.

Heavy metal toxins (lead, mercury, nickel, cadmium, etc.) are easily taken out by chlorella and cilantro extract. Cilantro frees up the metal and the chlorella picks it up for excretion. My latest lab test showed I was almost free of mercury, and I did it without expensive and dangerous IV chelation therapy. I had to have all my "silver" fillings removed first.

Here's a tip almost nobody does: Buy at least a couple of high quality air purifiers that are rated for toxic gas removal if you live in a newer home and/or in an urban area. Modern processed wood products are full of formaldehyde and offgas rather heavily. Like my new bedroom furniture that has lots of particle board behind the carved wood facade. New carpet and paint are also loaded with toxins. Most mattresses now come loaded with arsenic to kill mice and rats in the mattress warehouse. I like the IQAir brand the best, and I chunked the HEPA filter that came in mine and installed an extra gas filter. More airflow, quieter, and better gas removal. If microdust is your main problem, keep the HEPA filter in place. The prefilter in these machines are so effective, that it practically renders the HEPA filter unnecessary for many users. If you own your home, buy the $500 adapter kit that allows you to suck in outside air and positively pressurize your home to exclude airborn particles and gasses. I sleep a heck of a lot better with the IQAir running in my bedroom at night, and most air purifiers are just toys compared to it. First night used: very major difference. I have a $500 Swedish unit that is worthless for toxic gas removal compared to the IQAir. You CANNOT get well without sound sleep. The HealthPro Plus model is programmable to automatically turn itself on and off and has a handheld remote control unit so you don't have to get out of bed to change speeds. The furnace filters don't do diddly squat for getting out toxic gas and the really dangerous small particles like viruses. Don't make the mistake of getting the HealthPro model without the gas filter. Toxic gas levels are usually worse than imagined, and you might be surprised how bad the outside air smells after you clean up your indoor air. I live three blocks from a 4-lane highway, and the smell can be very obvious when I step outside. Electrostatic air filters do nothing for gas removal, no matter how well they work on dust, and air ionizers are a dangerous joke. IQAir is #1 in European hospital systems and they take air cleaning more seriously than we do. The medical facility I work at turned off their electrostatic air filters because "they needed too much maintenance to work right".

Mold can lead to many problems, and east Texas is full of it. I have a 48 pint capacity dehumidifier to keep the air humidity down below 50% where most mold cannot grow even if established in a material. If you have flu like symptoms and stuffy sinuses constantly, it could be a mold problem. It causes lack of sleep which aggravates arthritis.

yep ... this is important stuff ... musicians often suffer more due to lifestyle ... breathing 2nd hand smoke, missing meals, eating too late, drinking too much, etc ... the bottom line is an average human being has the genetic capability to live 120 healthy years old ... after that our genes let us down ... but if we have serious disease and death before that then we are doing something wrong ... that's right 60 sould be middle age ... we should still be rockin out at 100 ...

I pursue good health like my life depends on it ...

I also use air filters, I take lots of supplements like bio plasma cell salts, liquid minerals, supreme greens, cod liver oil, algae, alfalfa, hgh, msm, coral calcium etc ...

if you get your body's ph from acid to neutral/alkaline then it is almost impossible to get cancer and many other diseases ...

I wear all my basses about the same height (low) and play with a pick. My other basses don't give me the numbness but they both have the rounded body.

I work on a computer all day and have to wear a wrist/arm brace to keep the CTS away. All the numbness occurs after resting my arm against an edge for at least 30-45 minutes. I'm planning to see a specialist this winter to discuss the problem.

Andy, I have the same problem. Solved it with a simple wrist/forearm elastic bandage from a CVS drugstore.
